Ipanema Investments sponsors the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) – cebri.org.br – , with a high level meeting with Brazilian Finance Minister Paulo Guedes, regarding the directions of the government’s economic policy.
Ipanema thanks CEBRI – cebri.org.br – for the opportunity to support this relevant lunch with Minister Guedes, held at Rio de Janeiro Country Club, for the presentation of the main directions of the government’s economic policy.
In addition to Minister Guedes, Pedro Malan (former Finance Minister), Armínio Fraga (former Central Bank President), Joaquim Levy (Former Finance Minister and current BNDES President), Marcos Troyjo (Secretary of Foreign Commerce) among others.
The meeting was also attended by the CEOs of the largest Brazilian companies, members of the economic team and senior diplomats.
The Minister, as always, was direct and objective in his assignments. Its frank and open form to handle difficult themes of the economy was very well received by the guests.
Pension Reform and Tex Reform
In addition to the Pension Reform government is hardly working to pass in the congress the Tax reform and the Federal Pact. All will largely contribute for the development of the economic environment of Brazil, he said.
As a member of CEBRI’s Advisory Board and president of Ipanema, I reiterate our support to the Minister and his team in seeking innovative solutions to solve old and intrinsic problems of our country.
We left the meeting excited and convinced that the economic team is taking all necessary measures to put our country back on the road of sustainable growth.
